Our home on the slopes of the "Holy Mountain"

Located on the slopes of Mtazminda, the "holy mountain", that overlooks the center of Tbilisi, the "Villa Tiflis" has been for generations home of the Kotetishvili family, famous for its literary traditions. Part of the house will soon become a museum dedicated to the memory of Wakhtang and Wakhushti Kotetishvili, who have been well known writers all over Georgia.

Although right in the center at Kotetishvili Street # 7 (just a two minute walk up from the Georgian Parliament / Mariott hotel / Kashveti church), you'll be surprised how quiet our little neighborhood is - a little green oasis within the chaos of the city.

Our B & B is located on the 3rd floor with each room having a balcony grown over with plants or vine leaves. The furniture has been partly designed by our neighbor Guga Kotetishvili, who is known as a bohemian-style interior designer in the city. Very special is our shared bathroom with its oversized bathtub and Turkish tiles from the art basar at the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

Our fire place is always a nice meeting point in the winter time, when we offer our guests a glas of Georgian red wine. Breakfast is served either in the kitchen or on one of the balconies. We are happy to serve farmer's eggs and homemade jam with either European-style multigrain bread or the typical Georgian "tones puri" from our baker at the corner of our little street. Add an Italian Espresso or Latte Macchiato - and you are ready for another day of adventure in Georgia!
